VOLUNTEERING AT THE DAILY LIVING CENTERS

What do Volunteers do for the Daily Living Centers

Volunteers are the life blood of the Daily Living Centers. The volunteers are there for our participants when they need a touch, a friend, or a helper with the activities that are scheduled.

The staff at the Daily Living Centers view our volunteers as their partners in providing services and activities to our participants. They are essential in making the day in our facilities better than it would be without them. Our programs are better because of our volunteers and the way they interact with both participants and staff. We want to say a very special thank you to all of the Daily Living Centers volunteers.

How to become a volunteer for the Daily Living Centers

To become a volunteer, contact the Director at one of our four centers:

What you can do as a volunteer

There are many and varied volunteer opportunities. Here are a few that we are aware of presently:

	Assist with Games with participants.
	Help Participants exercise or maybe lead an exercise program.
	All types of arts and crafts are available and our participants would sure like to work with you or have you lean an Arts and Crafts program.
	Socialize with the participants and tell and listen to stories.
	Be a partner for Dancing.
	Call numbers for Bingo or Assist participants with their Bingo cards.
	Help decorate for special parties.
	Provide Music or sing-along's

OR ….

	Any other type of activity you feel comfortable with.
	Most of all have fun while you are at the center.
