The Daily Living Centers Schedule of Fees and Explanation of Services The Daily Living Centers is a not for profit Adult Day Care Program that will not turn anyone away because of an inability to afford the services of the Daily Living Centers. There are several types of scholarship programs available including the Adult Day Care Program of the Department of Human Services, the Advantage Program and the United Way Scholarship Program. These are not welfare programs but were developed to encourage caregivers to get help caring for their loved one without utilizing institutionalization, which is considerably more expensive to the government. All fees include Nursing Care and licensed staff to provide direct care to the participant. Adult Day Care basic fee is $45.00 per day of service Transportation fee is $5.00 per day of service Bathing fee is $10.00 for participant Bath and $15.00 for non-participant Bath DHS Adult Day Program is based on a sliding scale co-payment which is determined by the participant’s income. Savings or property ownership are not included in the determination. Advantage Program is income sensitive, and pays the total cost for those certified. United Way Scholarships are based on a sliding scale depending on the participant's income. All program activities are covered in the Daily Rate. There are no extra charges for Nursing Care, activity supplies, lunch and snacks or other costs associated with the Adult Day Care Program. Diabetics are asked to furnish blood sugar monitors and test strips. |
